Comments:     BBC – Halibut Point State Park, Rockport, Morning – Leader: Peter Van Demark – fog clearing, warming into 70s, light breeze rising. Had an eager young birder along with his father.

King Eider  1     Possible juvenile, seen at end of Folly Point from Bayview Trail: orange bill, black back, seen by all five observers through scope.
Common Eider  42     Most in a group off Sea Rocks
Northern Gannet  30     Many diving, some quite close to shore, many juveniles with black backs and wing tops

Cooper’s Hawk  2
Sanderling  12     Probably; flying in tight group along shore
Ring-billed Gull  1     Pre-adult plumage
