Comments:     Brookline Bird Club walk led by Eddie Giles.  Pleasant morning with overcast skies and temps in the 60s.  Rain held off all morning.  Started out with five participants and were joined part way through by two more.

Canada Goose  1     Flyover.
Mallard (Northern)  2
Double-crested Cormorant  1     Flyover.
Red-shouldered Hawk  2     M/F pair seen copulating and later perched on the nest together.
gull sp.  2     Flyovers, presumed Herrings.
owl sp.  1     Bird flushed from ground level next to river/wetland.  Bird flew silently into trees on opposite side of the river at eye level.  Very large, uniform brown bird, round-headed with wide wings and a wide tail.  Probably Barred, but better looks desired.

Worm-eating Warbler  1     Gate 8.  Singing male with aberrant plumage, lacking any striping on its head.  Head had a golden/buffy hue and a faint eye stripe.  Bird was well observed by all seven of us, at times teed up only a few yards away from us, giving unobstructed views.  Some photos (albeit blurry) were taken by Paul Fitzgerald and will hopefully be shared later.
This bird is interesting to note as three years ago I had a singing male sporting similar plumage (no head stripes) one gate up and only about 1/10 mile from where this one was observed today.
Louisiana Waterthrush  1     Singing along the Aaron River across from Boundary Pond.

warbler sp. (Parulidae sp.)  1     Bird was heard only as the group was never able to pin it down.  Bird was singing 4-5 thin, high pitched notes.  Notes did not change pitch or volume.  Concensus was 95% sure it was a Cape May, but without a visual confirmation, we could not make the call.
