woodpecker sp. 1 Seen in the woods without good lighting or duration. Probably a hairy wp, but, could not confirm.

Common Raven 2 1 seen early in walk and pair seen at end by 1/2 the group.

Carolina Wren 6 2 heard very clearly on main campus near parking area/buildings; 2 at New Meadow and 2 heard calling back and forth west of lower campus in the woods. Everyone noted their population seems to be quite robust and many noted observations elsewhere.

new world warbler sp. 1 Two of us got a brief, but good glance at a small yellow warbler with a black eyeline which appeared to be a blue-winged warbler darting into the top 1/3 of canopy on deciduous trees between Shaker House and Fruitlands Museum. They usually leave ~ 3rd week in September and have bred here. One was seen in Worcester Co. on 9/10/24. Could not definitively confirm as was not seen again. Could not get a photo.
