Checklist Comments:    Brookline Bird Club- Mt. Auburn Cemetery- Leader: Kathy Dia. 30’s F, overcast, breezy early which kept birds quiet, but less so as the morning progressed. Really a lovely selection of birds observed, with the help of many great eyes and ears in the group.

Fox Sparrow  1    Continuing, reported by Elizabeth Creasey and Sina Mohammadi on 1/2. Seen in Birch Gardens. Spotted by Michelle, perched conveniently on a stone pillar..Unfortunately my photos aren’t properly focused. Large russet sparrow, with gray face and russet triangular marking on auricular area. This individual is an interesting color… more golden orange than the usual very red sub-species that we see in the winter.
