Halibut Point, Essex, Massachusetts, US
Sep 18, 2016 7:45 AM – 11:00 AM
Protocol: Traveling
2.0 mile(s)
Comments: I was leading one of Peter Van Demark’s monthly walks, but nobody else showed up! But I love Halibut Point, so I had an enjoyable 3 hours, evenly divided between looking from the rocks for seabirds (variety was thin) and scouring the interior for migrant landbirds (thin here too). The latter was barely successful, with only a single small pocket of migrants. A raven croaking near the parking lot was the only bird remotely out of place.
