UPDATE: This trip is full, with a full waiting list.

After a 3-year hiatus, Westover is again offering their very popular grassland birds tour. Our apologies for the late notice as we just recently received confirmation for the trip.

A guided 1.25-mile tour to view one of the largest populations of Upland Sandpipers in New England as well as Grasshopper Sparrow, Bobolink, and other edge birds.

This trip will continue to other locations in the general area.  Participants must undergo security clearance.  Email the leader no later than March 18. For each participant we need to provide full name including middle name, address, birth date, social security number and driver’s license including state (or ID #).  The security procedures have changed on the base and this data must be submitted to the base in advance for clearance checks, their deadline is March 20.

Information on meeting time and location will be provided to the participants as details are finalized with base personnel. Targeted and endangered breeding species: Upland Sandpiper, Grasshopper Sparrow.

Limited participation; participants must be 18 year or older.
Meeting location: Information on meeting time and location will be provided upon confirmation.
