Checklist Comments:    BBC- Woodcocks at Meriam’s Corner, Concord- Leader: Kathy Dia-  47-37° F. Yesterday there was several inches snowfall, but most has melted with today’s warm weather. We walked from Meriam’s Corner east about .5 mile and returned, then across the street to Old Palumbo Farm. Blackbirds were noisy and visible; there were many robins and a few Killdeer in the wet fields; ducks were headed to their roosting places; a pair of red-tailed hawks were patrolling and perching. I had not heard woodcocks at MIMA this week (not for lack of trying), but another participant had heard them two days prior, so I was hopeful. The woodcocks did not disappoint! We saw/ heard about seven actively displaying and flying over us.
