American Woodcock  5    Scouting the area 48 hours earlier paid off as Ian and I were able to get good looks at one individual vocalizing his courting “PEENT” call on the ground and then rise skyward to execute his feather twittering sky dance display. This obliging life bird for Ian repeated his display routine for about 20 minutes.
