Comments: Brookline Bird Club’s annual Waterfowl Prowl led by Eddie Giles. The day started out sunny and cool (40s), interspersed with some thick fog banks. By midday, the temps approached 60 degrees but by midafternoon the clouds had rolled in and we ended the day with rainfall. A recent mild spell ensured that all bodies of water were ice-free. With the exception of the eastern end of the Canal (where we had 1,000s of waterfowl), we encountered no large concentrations of ducks.
