On Friday, September 10th, 6 BBC members enjoyed the Athol Bird and Nature Club — Brookline Bird Club’s co-sponsored walk along Quabbin Reservoir’s Gate 35 path. Warblers, thrushes, and other passerines, hawks, Bald Eagles, gulls, and cormorants were among the highlights. Thanks to leaders Jeff Johnstone (ABNC) and Leslie Kramer (BBC), for collaborating, along with the sharp eyes and ears of participants. Quabbin is a wonderful, historical place to bird (and receive water). The BBC has led birding trips there for decades, and we look forward to more birding in this area.
