Migration Madness Membership Drive Winners
Thanks to new members who joined during our this spring’s Migration Madness membership drive. We wrapped up a successful campaign at the end of May with 52 new members.
As promised, we raffled off a pair of Nikon binoculars and three stylish BBC baseball caps. Congrats to Jan Jugelon, Karen Morris, and Andrea Thorrold, who won baseball caps. Rachael Eastwood of Melrose won the binoculars.
Last fall Rachael joined our walk in collaboration with the Friends of the Fells at Greenwood Park in the Middlesex Fells in honor of Dana and Inge Jewell. She is a new birder and looking forward to joining us on many more BBC walks.
New Member Walk
On Saturday June 13 board member Thomas Michel led a new members walk at Fresh Pond in Cambridge. 15 newly joined members turned up and enjoyed sights and sounds from a variety of nesting birds including Green Herons, Tree Swallows, and Baltimore Orioles.
We are pleased to report that as of June 1 the BBC has 1361 members. We hope to see all of you at BBC trips and other events!
