Book Fund Award to Ruth Batson Academy in Boston
The Brookline Bird Club Book Fund committee has made a donation of $750 to support a school library program of bird and nature study at the Ruth Batson Academy in Dorchester, MA. The effort has been organized by librarian Isabel DePina. The Ruth Batson Academy provide education for for middle and high school students with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Lessons will incorporate field trips to Boston Harbor and neighborhood locations, books, games, and educational resources from the BBC and from the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology’s Celebrate Urban Birds program.
