BBC Programming Committee Seeks Volunteers

Do you have ideas for BBC webinar speakers? Would you like to be involved in planning club events such as our annual meeting, fall speaker, and winter member’s meeting? Interested in branching out to add a movie series or cosponsor with various groups?

The BBC is seeking volunteers for our Programming Committee. You will:

  • Plan, implement, and assess workshops, webinars, and activities that engage and inform members and nonmembers
  • Provide refreshments and materials for the Fall, Winter and Spring Annual Members Meetings
  • Plan Recognition and Appreciation Programs

  • Neponset River Greenway – An Urban Oasis

    Enjoy an approximately 2-mile trip along the Neponset River Greenway on a metal and asphalt boardwalk and bike path. Let's see what we can find: Yellow-rumped Warblers, Gray Catbirds, and other migrant and resident species. Beginners, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ encouraged as well as more experienced birders. Loaner binoculars available.

    Part of our Bring Back Boblinks conservation series. Walk among open fields where we are likely to see and hear bobolinks, Our early start increases the likelihood that we will hear the bobolinks’ burbling morning song. Be prepared for muddy trails, depending on recent rainfall. Trails are mostly flat.
