Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.   • Dunback Meadow, Lexington

    Our target birds will be late migrants including Mourning Warbler and flycatchers. Be prepared to walk three to five miles.

    Please join us for a walk around Boston’s beautiful and historic Fenway Victory Gardens in search of late migratory and resident birds. The garden’s grass walkways are generally even, and can be muddy in spots.

  • Forest River Conservation Area

    Marblehead - Forest River Conservation Area MA, United States

    Easy to moderate 1.5 mile hike on 26 acre property which includes marsh, tidal pools, upland fields and woods. Expect to see various warblers, sparrows and Vireos. Wear hiking boots for modest uphill and downhill paths with some mud.

  • Millis and Medfield Breeding Birds

    Millis - Paddock Lane 218 Causeway St, Millis, MA, United States

    Trying for 50 species again this year, we’ll be walking about a mile and a half, mostly staying on pavement. Boots are not required. Ticks should not be a problem.     We will explore a new trip location for the state-list Grasshopper Sparrow. We will cover a few miles on foot while also enjoying other species that we may encounter along the way.   • Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Concord

    Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United States

    Rails and Least Bittern are our main targets. Note that entrance fee or pass is required. Duck stamps and entrance passes are accepted.
