Please join us for a walk around Boston’s beautiful and historic Fenway Victory Gardens in search of late migratory and resident birds. The garden’s grass walkways are generally even, and can be muddy in spots. |

Trying for 50 species again this year, we’ll be walking about a mile and a half, mostly staying on pavement. Boots are not required. Ticks should not be a problem. We’ll be looking and listening for swamp breeders, including Green Heron, Brown Creeper, Northern Waterthrush, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. We may then stop at the Medfield

We will walk along the Charles River Esplanade from the Longfellow Bridge upriver looking for birds on both land and water. Join us for a series of short hikes as we search for Cerulean Warbler, Acadian Flycatcher, and Alder Flycatcher. Time will also be taken to enjoy the flora and fauna along the way. Led by DCR staff. We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for Saltmarsh Sparrow, shorebirds, terns, and breeding marsh birds at this birding hotspot and state park.
