Great Meadows NWR, Concord with Limited Mobility Option
Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United StatesWe will walk slowly looking for rails, shorebirds, wading birds, and migrating Common Nighthawks. The first portion of the walk is .6 miles round trip. Those to wish to join us on an extended walk with permission to enter private property, to look for Night-Herons. Note that entrance fee or pass is required.
Plum Island PRNWR
Parker River NWR - Lot #1 Refuge Rd., Newbury, MA, MA, United StatesEnjoy the late afternoon colors and birds at PRNWR at a slow and easy pace as we search refuge hotspots for shorebirds and waders, as well as tree swallows and other regular species. Short walks on flat trails. Insect repellents highly recommended. Entrance fee or pass is required. Restrooms available.

Great Meadows NWR, Concord
Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United StatesWe will walk easy trails looking for birds. This is a good time for raptors. Beginners welcome. Note that entrance fee or pass is required.
Cold Spring Park, Newton
Newton - Cold Spring Park 1200 Beacon St, Newton, MA, United StatesAn easy walk on flat trails. We will look for fall migrants and resident birds.
BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join. See the Field Trip FAQ for answers to general questions. Contact leaders for more details about specific trips.
We follow all policies of field trip location property owners and co-sponsoring organizations. These may include ongoing public health measures. Some participants may choose to wear a face mask for health purposes. We support their right to do so.
