Shore Birding around Boston

Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. We will search for sparrows and other fall migrants at Nahanton Park and a possible other location to be determined nearer the date of the trip.
Explore this urban oasis for sparrows and other possible fall migrants like Dickcissel and Blue Grosbeak. We will take an easy walk through varied habitats. Co-sponsored with the Boston Nature Center.
We will explore various hot-spots on the refuge for fall migrants. The walk will then continue to other nearby locations based on current reports. Anything is possible during fall migration! Note that an entrance fee or pass is required to enter Parker River NWR.
We will search for alcids and other wintering seabirds. Be prepared for cold and windy weather. If bad weather is predicted, contact the leader by 6:00 p.m. the previous evening.

We will explore this small gem of a sanctuary for migrants and residents alike.
This is a two-hour walk exploring the four corners of the Public Garden, where a surprising number of interesting migrants have found their way in the springtime.
