Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. We will search for wintering ducks, shorebirds, and Snowy Owls. Dress warmly and be prepared for cold and wind. Expect to walk up to 2 miles on paved paths. Beginners welcome and encouraged. Loaner binoculars available upon request – please contact the leader at least 48 hours in advance. Port-a-potties should be available. Note date

We are adding a trip to Revere Beach where a lot of gulls are present due to winter storms throwing up or exposing clams on the beach for them to eat. Large number of gulls including possibly rare gulls are there. We'll do our best to sort through the gulls for rare ones and to
We will search for wintering seabirds, alcids, and Iceland Gulls. Be prepared for cold and wind and dress very warmly. Depending on conditions, we will walk up to 2.6 miles on paved paths. We will be seabirding and looking for waterfowl as we work our way down the coast, driving from spot to spot with little walking. Your scope will be handy.
Due to snow, the trails are difficult, the parking lot is closed, and parking outside the refuge is limited and tricky. Cancelling this event. There will be more Great Meadows walks in the future.
We're cancelling for a number of reasons. The walkways are in terrible condition, varying from deep snow to icy paths. Weather looks iffy for Saturday. Also, two of the leaders are unavailble. We are considering finding a day later in March for a last-of-season trip to Deer Island. If we do, we'll post it and
Due to the the amount of snow still around we are rescheduling this to Saturday March 28. Also, we didn't mean to conflict with the Mass Aubudon Birders Meeting on March 14.
