Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.   • The Lakes of Wakefield and Lynnfield

    Wakefield - Lakeside Inn Hotel 595 North Ave, Wakefield, MA, United States

    We will visit several different lakes and ponds in Wakefield and Lynnfield primarily looking for waterfowl. There will be some walking.

  • North Shore Waterfowl Expedition

    Topsfield Fair Grounds 207 Boston St, Topsfield, MA, United States

    We will visit several different water bodies in Essex County in attempting to see as many as 25 different species of Ducks and Geese. There will be some walking. We will end up at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge. Note that an entrance fee or pass is required to visit Parker River NWR.

  • Salisbury Beach State Reservation

    Salisbury Beach State Reservation

    We will bird the Salisbury Beach State Park. In case of inclement weather check with leader night before trip. There will be some walking. Restrooms available.

  • Cape Ann

    Gloucester - Fisherman's Monument Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial, 60 Western Ave, Gloucester, MA, United States

    We will search for alcids and other wintering seabirds. Be prepared for cold and windy weather. If inclement weather is predicted, contact the leader by 6:00 pm the previous evening.

  • Reading Town forest

    Reading - Town Forest next to 357 Grove St, Reading, MA, United States

    We will walk along fire roads and well maintained trails focusing on the Ipswich River and its adjacent wetlands and uplands. No restroom facilities.

  • Mount Auburn Cemetery

    Mount Auburn Cemetery 536 Mt Auburn St, Cambridge, MA, United States

  • Plum Island

    Parker River NWR - Lot #1 Refuge Rd., Newbury, MA, MA, United States

    We will explore various parts of the Parker River NWR in search of warblers. Note than entrance fee or pass is required. Restrooms available.

  • Old Town Hill and Bill forward/Kents Island

    Newbury - Old Town Hill (TTOR) Newman Rd, Newbury, MA, United States

    We will visit both of these areas. The walking is fairly easy along fire roads, gravel trails, and woodland trails. No restroom facilities.

  • Plum Island

    Parker River NWR - Lot #1 Refuge Rd., Newbury, MA, MA, United States

    We will explore various locations on the Refuge in search of breeding birds. Note that entrance fee or pass is required. Restrooms available.
