We will explore the Olmsted Park section of the Emerald Necklace looking for warblers, vireos, orioles, and other spring migrants at Jamaica, Ward, Willow, and Leverett Ponds. Beginners welcome and encouraged. Limited loaner binoculars available. Terrain will be a mix of paved and unpaved paths and grassy fields. We’ll walk up to 1.5 miles. No
We will visit Pine Hill Grasslands first (but meet at Bolton Flats for carpooling to Pine Hill), targeting grassland sparrows and warblers. We will walk at least 2.5 miles round trip but not all the way to the back of that reservation. Then off to the second stop, Bolton Flats WMA off rt 117. There
Kicking off Global Big Day at this small but mighty urban wild that offers a variety of habitat. Expect to see a variety of woodpeckers, resident birds, warblers, and other migratory species, as well as a surprise or two. The path is flat with a mix of gravel and dirt surfaces with newly added boardwalks

We will walk 3 to 4 miles on slightly hilly trails to check out resident species in the Sanctuary’s woodlands, wetlands and fields. We will look for resident warblers, Eastern Bluebirds, up to five species of woodpeckers, vireos, Baltimore Orioles, and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
