Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.   • Webinar: Peregrine Falcon Recovery and Conservation in Massachusetts

    Learn about the decline, recovery, and conservation of the peregrine falcon in Massachusetts. A true conservation success story and ambassador for conservation. The conservation and continued monitoring of this species would not be possible without the general public, birders, photographers, and landowners/property managers alike.   • Belle Isle Marsh

    East Boston - Belle Isle Parking Lot 1399 Bennington Street, Boston, MA, United States

    Join us on a free joint BBC-Boston Nature Center bird walk to observe resident birds and fall migrants in a unique urban setting that is a favorite habitat for many bird species. A BNC naturalist will help us find and identify birds such as shorebirds, wading birds, sea ducks, and hopefully owls through field marks,

  • Cape Ann

    Gloucester - Fisherman's Monument Gloucester Fisherman's Memorial, 60 Western Ave, Gloucester, MA, United States

    We will search for alcids and other wintering seabirds. Be prepared for cold and windy weather. If bad weather is predicted, contact the leader by 6:00 p.m. the previous evening.

  • MA Waterfowl Prowl

    Sagamore - Scusset Beach Pier Parking Lot MA, United States

    We will visit the ponds, marshes, bays, and backwaters of the Upper and Lower Cape and other areas in our search for 25+ species of ducks, as well as loons, grebes, swans, and geese. Cosponsored by Cape Cod Bird Club.

  • Belle Isle Marsh and Vicinity

    East Boston - Belle Isle Parking Lot 1399 Bennington Street, Boston, MA, United States

    Led by DCR staff. We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for snowy owls and other raptors, finches and waterfowl. Expect to move to different locations by car or bicycle. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities available upon request. Ages: Adults and kids 8 years+ with adult chaperone. Binoculars
