Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. We will kick off our Big Day at Pine Hill Grasslands targeting grassland sparrows and other birds. We will walk at least 2.5 miles round trip, possibly more (leaving early is possible). Join Craig for a walk in Pine Banks which is often a good local spot for migration. Beginning birders are welcome. The walk will not be too strenuous, although the leader may optionally extend the walk to climb up a hill in the back of the park.

We will walk 3 to 4 miles on slightly hilly trails to check out resident species in the Sanctuary’s woodlands, wetlands and fields. We will look for resident warblers, Eastern Bluebirds, up to five species of woodpeckers, vireos, Baltimore Orioles, and Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
