Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. Adding a trip to make up for the cancellations and to grab the chance of some late winter birding. The paths should all be fine now. It will probably be colder than you expect on the water since there's not much shelter from any wind that is blowing. We will search for wintering ducks, Loons,
Mount Auburn Cemetery is lovely in all seasons. In late March, we may see the very earliest migrants from the south (Red-winged Blackbird, others) as well as the remaining seasonal visitors from the north (e.g. White-throated Sparrow, Dark-eyed Junco). And our usual year-round resident species will have just started to sing!

Our group will meet at the Condon Shell parking lot and follow the path along the river, which is ADA-accessible and stroller friendly. Migration is taking place so we could see Baltimore Orioles, Warbling Vireos, Warblers, Tree and or Rough-winged Swallows, and Osprey, as well as our resident Great Blue Herons, Red-tailed Hawks, and various song birds. Bring binoculars.
Learn about the ecology and wildlife at the Mystic lakes, with special focus on the Bald Eagles who frequent this location. Herring that swim up the Mystic River to spawn draw many other birds and wildlife as well. A scope is very helpful here if you have one. Meet at the Mystic Lakes Dam in

This walk is intended for new members! Get to know your fellow club members. Bring a friend if you like. An easy 2-mile walk through pondside meadows and forest paths at Fresh Pond. We'll see summer residents including breeding birds. We will meet in the parking lot of the TD Bank at Fresh Pond Circle,
