Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. We will search for resident migrant birds and as well as shorebirds. Note that entrance fee or pass is required.

We'll check the marshes and the mudflats in Squantum for shorebirds, starting at Mosswetusset Hummock and visiting other spots nearby. At high tide around 10:00 am, we'll try checking the high tide roosts for shorebirds as well. Be prepared for the possibility of biting insects. Cosponsored with South Shore Bird Club. Led by DCR staff. We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for large groups of herons and egrets, common and rare shorebirds. This is a traveling program by car or bike.
