Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. Slow walk of about two miles on slightly hilly trails to check out year-round resident species in the Sanctuary’s woodlands, wetlands and fields. With leaves off the trees, it should be easy to spot the birds that haven’t headed south, and perhaps some winter visitors. Restrooms open from 8:00 AM. Canceled for rain. Note that
Get to know your fellow club members on this walk on the mouth of the Mystic River spanning between Everett and Somerville. Draw 7 State Park consists of 9 acres of land along the Mystic River, and is part of the Mystic River State Reservation. This is a short walk on flat paved surfaces searching
Led by DCR staff. We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for snowy owls and other raptors, native sparrows, finches, waterfowl, and other birds. This is a traveling program by car or bike. Prepare for ticks. Ages: Adults and kids 8 years+ with adult chaperone. Binoculars recommended. ADA/Reasonable Accommodations
