You don’t always need to be in the woods, mountains, or at the shore to find birds. Many of these adaptable creatures find urban settings quite hospitable. We will walk along the rivers, canals, and islands of green in the mill city looking for breeding birds as they go about their business of raising the next generation of birds. This two-hour walk is suitable for beginners and will be over mainly flat and paved surfaces but may cover two miles or more on foot. Co-sponsored by the Lowell Parks and Conservation Trust and limited to 20 participants. Register at: https://lowelllandtrust.org/urban-birding-2/

BBC field trips are open to all participants. Unless otherwise stated, all trips are free to attend and do not need preregistration. You do not need to be a club member to attend, though we hope you will join. See the Field Trip FAQ for answers to general questions. Contact leaders for more details about specific trips.

We follow all policies of field trip location property owners and co-sponsoring organizations. These may include ongoing public health measures. Some participants may choose to wear a face mask for health purposes. We support their right to do so.

We hope to see you out birding soon!
