Join fellow birders in their 20s-30s as we visit the Charles River Esplanade for an evening bird walk! Located in the heart of Boston, the Esplanade is a 64-acre park along the south side of the Charles River. While serving as one of Boston’s staple common areas, it is also a good spot to observe resident bird species of Massachusetts in an urban and welcoming environment.
Whether you’re a newcomer looking to start a new hobby or are a seasoned bird expert, birders of all experience levels in their 20s and 30s are encouraged to join us for a casual evening of birdwatching!
Dress for the weather conditions; bring water! While the trip will start around 6:30pm, it may still be hot out! Expect to walk approximately 3 miles on mostly paved/level paths until sundown. Bring binoculars if you have them; loaners are available on request (please email the trip leader ahead of time).

This trip is specifically dedicated to those aged 20-39 years. Please do not bring children.

Plan to meet at the Edwin Upton Curtis Memorial next to the Hatch Memorial Shell. Parking is difficult around here and it is strongly recommended that you arrive via public transportation. Meeting location coordinates: 42.35726, -71.07426

Take the T to Charles/MGH red line stop and take the Frances Appleton Bridge to the Esplanade. Walk down the esplanade path to the entrance of the lagoon next to the theater.
