Join fellow birders in their 20s-30s on a field trip to visit Alewife Brook Reservation! Located in North Cambridge, Alewife Brook is host to a variety of resident & migratory bird species in an urban forest/wetland setting. As we navigate the park, expect to see your typical songbirds, waterfowl, and early spring migrants.
Dress warmly and be prepared for icy or muddy paths; bring water. Expect to walk approximately 2-3 miles on mostly paved/level paths. Bring binoculars if you have them; loaners are available on request (please email the trip leader).
This trip is specifically dedicated to those aged 20-39 years. Please do not bring children.
We will be meeting at the start of the Minuteman Bike Path (just north of the Alewife Station parking garage). This is a busy bicycle/pedestrian intersection, so stay aware! Meeting Location GPS Coordinates: 42.39654, -71.14335
Public transit access is accessible via the MBTA red line. Parking is available in the Alewife parking garage (paid lot) or the 2-hour DCR lot on the north side of the park.
