We have a special opportunity for BBC members as well as their family and friends to visit Manomet’s bird banding lab on May 6th at 9am. This is a limited event so registration is required.

Participants will see the bird banding lab and learn about bird banding. You can expect to see captive birds in hand, unless the mist nets are not up that day. (For the health and safety of the birds, Manomet does not band in all weather conditions). You will hear about the benefits of banding and what we have learned through this research activity.

The Manomet location in Plymouth is a beautiful property and and fun place to do a bit of birding. We will email registered participants describing birding opportunities there.  For those interested, plan to arrive early and bird before the banding demonstration.

Directions will be sent by email to participants. There is accessible parking available next to Manomet’s HQ building for those who need it. The general location is shown below for planning purposes.
