Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. We’ll explore and look for birds in the northern part of the Fenway area around the gardens and recently restored Muddy River, in collaboration with Boston Birding Festival and Walking City Trail. It is time for the southbound migration of sparrows! Join this webinar to learn field marks, shapes, and sounds of these fascinating birds of our fields and forests. We will cover most of the sparrows with records in Massachusetts. There will be an accompanying field trip for those interested (date is 10/13, rain date 10/14.
An easy walk on flat trails. We will look for fall migrants and resident birds.

Join us for the traditional BBC early spring walk at Crooked Pond--Bald Hill Reservation, for Winter Wren, Brown Creeper, and early spring migrants like Louisiana Waterthrush.. The trail is generally flat, muddy, and possibly icy. Dress warmly; walking sticks helpful.

Explore the North Quabbin area for spring migrant birds. A great event for the novice birder to learn from one of the best field naturalists in the region. Come for as long as your schedule allows. Severe weather cancels.
