Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.   • Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, Concord

    Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United States

    We will cover most of the refuge on flat and easy trails looking for residents and early migrants. A large variety of species can be seen here. Note that an entrance fee or pass is required.

  • Global Big Day Kickoff: Pine Hill Grasslands and Bolton Flats WMA

    Bolton Flats 376 7 Bridge Rd, Lancaster, MA, United States

    We will visit Pine Hill Grasslands first (but meet at Bolton Flats for carpooling to Pine Hill), targeting grassland sparrows and warblers.   • Evening Walk at Minute Man NHP (Rescheduled from 5/22)

    Minute Man NHP - Hartwell Tavern 101-103 N Great Rd, Lincoln, MA, United States

    This area is great for late migrants and nesting species. Baltimore Oriole, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and Cedar waxwing are regulars. Alder Flycatcher and Common Nighthawks are possible. This is a one-mile walk on paved paths and boardwalk. Insect repellent suggested.

  • Great Meadows NWR, Concord

    Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United States

    We will walk easy trails looking for shorebirds, ducks, wading birds, rails, and nesting songbirds. This is also a great time to look for butterflies and other interesting insects.  Note that entrance fee or pass is required. Loaner binoculars available; please email trip leader to reserve a pair!
