Plum Island is an 11-mile barrier island in Newbury, Massachusetts and is home to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, one of the biggest birding hotspots in New England.
Turn off your engines and leave your car behind as we cycle the main refuge road looking and listening for spring migrants. Be ready to peddle by 6:30 a.m.
If the conditions are good, then there's no better place to be during Spring migration. We'll explore the island for migrants and returning breeding birds. Beginners welcome.
