Parker River NWR – Lot #1

Kick off spring birding adventures on the spring equinox! We will search for ocean birds (ducks, loons, grebes, alcids), winter shore birds (purlin, purple sandpipers, sanderling), raptors (Rough Legged Hawk, Snowy Owl) and early migrants. We will visit viewing areas along the ocean as well as the Hellcat boardwalks. Leader will have scope for sharing. [...]

We will explore various hot-spots on the refuge for fall migrants. The walk will then continue to other nearby locations based on current reports. Anything is possible during fall migration! Note that an entrance fee or pass is required to enter Parker River NWR.

We will be walking the North Pool dike as well as visiting other spots. Note that an entrance fee or pass is required. Restrooms available.

We will drive and carpool down the Parker River Refuge in search of shorebirds and fall migrants. Cosponsored with the Cape Cod Bird Club.

Leave your car behind as we cycle the main refuge road looking and listening for spring migrants. Be ready to peddle by 6:30 a.m. Note that entrance fee or pass is required. Restrooms available.
