Before registering for the pelagic trip please read the following, and when you sign up for the trip, your registration will signify your knowledge and agreement of the following conditions:

1. Unless you cancel your registration one month before the trip by notifying pelagics@brooklinebirdclub.org, we will have to charge you for the trip. However, if there is someone on the waiting list who can take your place, we can issue you a refund.
2. Due to weather conditions, the captain of the Helen H sometimes cancels the trip if there are safety concerns. We will keep you informed as soon as we know of a change of trip status, and realize that sometimes when we have to cancel only a day before the trip it unfortunately creates transportation difficulties for our participants.
3. Boarding the boat is by the order of receipt of registration. The first 30+ participants can plan on having a bunk for sleeping. Some prefer to sleep on the deck when the weather is clear. Others may find a place to sleep on the many seats / benches that are located throughout.
4. Cancellation of your reservation will incur a non-refundable $20.00 charge to cover credit card transaction fees which we have incurred on your behalf.
5. If you are traveling from out of state, please consider purchasing trip insurance for flights and hotel arrangements, since the pelagic trips are occasionally cancelled due to sea conditions.
