Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.     Harvard - Fruitlands Museum 102 Prospect Hill Rd., Harvard, MA, United States

We will look for resident species including Indigo Bunting, Savannah Sparrow, Hermit Thrush, Scarlet Tanager, Veery, Blue-headed Vireo, Wild Turkey, American Kestrel, and a variety of warblers.   • Crooked Pond

    Join us for the traditional BBC early spring walk at Crooked Pond--Bald Hill Reservation, for Winter Wren, Brown Creeper, and early spring migrants like Louisiana Waterthrush.. The trail is generally flat, muddy, and possibly icy. Dress warmly; walking sticks helpful.

  • Belle Isle Marsh and Vicinity

    East Boston - Belle Isle Parking Lot 1399 Bennington Street, Boston, MA, United States

    Led by DCR staff. We will search on foot up to one mile, on flat, easy terrain for raptors, shorebirds and resident wading marsh birds at this birding hotspot and state park. Expect to move to different locations by car or bicycle. Program is often not MBTA accessible. Prepare for mosquitoes and ticks. Reasonable accommodations

    Concord - Great Meadows Concord Unit, Entrance Rd, Concord, MA, United States

    This is an easy walk on level paths in search of early spring birds. Rain cancels the walk. Note that entrance fee or pass is required.

    Belmont - Rock Meadow 300 Mill St, Belmont, MA, United States

    Come enjoy the warming evenings at scenic Rock Meadow, which each year plays host to courting American Woodcocks, with the males engaging in their spiraling sky-dance flights above the fields.

    We will hike at an easy pace through easy to moderate trails in search of early spring arrivals in a variety of marsh, field, and woodland habitats.     We will walk approximately 1.5 miles along an old railbed and through forest to the nearby marsh. Possible early spring migrants seen and heard during this evening walk include Marsh Wren, Sora, Virginia Rail, and American Woodcocks.
