Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. Trying for 50 species again this year, we’ll be walking about a mile and a half, mostly staying on pavement. Boots are not required. Ticks should not be a problem. We’ll be looking and listening for swamp breeders, including Green Heron, Brown Creeper, Northern Waterthrush, and Blue-gray Gnatcatcher. We may then stop at the Medfield
We will walk on fairly level gravel roads for 3 miles looking for breeding birds including Field Sparrow, Indigo Bunting, and Prairie Warbler. Cosponsored with the Menotomy Bird Club. No restroom facilities.
Join fellow birders in their 20s-30s as we visit Belle Isle Marsh & the nearby Winthrop/Revere area! Nestled between Orient Heights, Beachmont, and Winthrop, the salt marsh of Belle Isle is host to a wide variety of unique bird species. As we navigate the northern portion of the park, expect to see your typical songbirds
