An easy but long (four-hour) walk on the roads and grassy footpaths of this traditional warbler hot-spot. Mainly level terrain, but may have some muddy areas and uneven terrain. Heavy rain cancels.

This two-mile walk in the sand is aimed at nesting Piping Plovers, Least Terns, and Bank Swallows, as well as evening singers such as Whip-poor-wills. Be prepared for mosquitoes at sunset. Co-sponsored by the Essex County Ornithological Club.
We will search for alcids and other wintering seabirds. In case of inclement weather check with leader night before trip.

Cosponsored by the ECOC. We will likely walk 3 or 4 miles on mostly flat trails through sanctuary woodlands and wetlands. Be prepared for some trails being wet, muddy, or rutted. Also take precautions against ticks. There is a small fee required if you are not a member of Mass Audubon. We will be looking
