We will drive and carpool down the Parker River Refuge in search of shorebirds and fall migrants. Cosponsored with the Cape Cod Bird Club.

Let's take a look at gulls! Gulls take 3 to 4 years to reach adult plumage. And in each year, there's a winter and a summer plumage. Which means, we get to see six to eight different versions of each species. And THAT is what makes gulls so much fun to identify! Free on-street parking. [...]

We will search for waterfowl, raptors, and wintering boreal songbirds. Limited walking. Carpooling from the meeting location will be essential. Co-sponsored by the Essex County Ornithological Club.

We will visit Plum Island, areas along the Merrimack River, and Salisbury. In case of inclement weather check with leader night before trip. Note that an entrance fee or pass is required to visit Parker River NWR.  NOTE: Meeting Place Changed.  We will meet at the train station parking lot.
