Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do.     Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge contains a diverse mixture of pine and hardwood forest, old fields, and wetlands. We will walk 2-3 miles on even, well-maintained trails in search of warblers, raptors, flycatchers and a variety of other migrants and residents. Can be buggy - insect repellent recommended.     Horn Pond is always a great place to bird. We’ll explore the main trails and ponds and the adjacent community garden.

  • Delaney WMA in Stow

    Stow - Delaney WMA Boat Launch 353 Harvard Road, Stow, MA, United States

    Delaney WMA in Stow is an Important Bird Area with a variety of habitats, including a shallow lake, a slow-running stream and a marsh, all bordered by mixed conifer/deciduous forest. We’ll go for a slow-paced 2-to-3 mile walk along trails with moderate terrain changes to see how many species we can find.
