Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. Join us for a warbler-filled walk at Gaining Ground and Massport Trails in Concord/Bedford! The habitat surrounding Hanscom Airport is unique and supports a variety of spring migrants and nesting species. Expect to see flycatchers, sparrows, raptors, and colorful warblers in the varied habitats of this amazing spring hotspot. Roughly 2 mile round trip walk
Mt. Auburn Cemetery is most heavily visited during migration season, but birding there in the summer allows you to see the large number of vibrant breeding birds without the crowds. Expect to see herons, vireos, flycatchers, and raptors, which may include some Great Horned Owls if we are lucky. Birders and nature-lovers of all skill
Join us for a late summer bird walk at Drumlin Farm and Van Leer Swamp, two hotspots in Lincoln where early spring migrants often show up.
