Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. Pop-up Trip: Crane WMA, Falmouth, and Swallow-tailed Kites!

Wednesday, August 26 @ 8:00 am

Pop-up trip to look for the Swallow-tailed Kites that have bred this year near Mashpee. We’ll start with a walk at Crane WMA to look for grassland birds, then head over to the location nearby where the kites are being seen. Contact trip leader (leaving from Newton around 6.30am) for possible carpooling, or else meet at Crane WMA, 8am.
There is normally a porta-potty at the softball field. There may be one at the aero club but that one may be locked.  There are a McDonalds and a Dunkin coming south on 28, one of which that may work for you as a rest stop.
