The trails are (generally) flat and easy to walk, though there are some rough patches. A water bottle, sunblock, insect repellent, and waterproof clothing including a hat are recommended.

The walk is free but preregistration is required. Please preregister by emailing cgeorge@massaudubon.org and copying neil.calabro1@mac.com. Be sure to mention it when registering if you will need loaner binoculars. There are only a few pairs available.
