Join fellow birders in their 20s-30s as we visit Franklin Park! Located in Roxbury, Boston’s largest open space is home to a plethora of natural features, including miles of trails, playing fields, a pond, and plenty of birds! Here we will look for all sorts of songbirds, including late fall migrants and early winterers. Whether you’re a newcomer looking to start a new hobby or are a seasoned bird expert, birders of all experience levels in their 20s and 30s are encouraged to join! Hope to see you there!
Expect to walk approximately 2 miles on mostly level paved paths. Binoculars are highly recommended. If you need loaner binoculars, they are available upon request (please email the trip leader ahead of time). The golf course club house has public restrooms if needed.

This trip is specifically dedicated to those aged 20-39 years. Please do not bring children.

Plan to meet by the tennis courts next to the Shattuck Picnic Grove on Circuit Drive. Meeting location coordinates: 42.30043, -71.10067.

Parking: Street parking is available nearby.
Transit Directions: The park is accessible via bus and subway (20 minute walk to the meeting location from the Forest Hills stop on the Orange Line + 16, 21, and 31 bus lines stop nearby).
