Unless otherwise stated, BBC field trips and webinars are open to all participants and are free to attend. Most field trips do not need preregistration though all webinars do. While you do not need to be a club member to attend, we hope you will join us. See the Field Trip FAQ for answers to general questions. Contact leaders for more details about specific trips.

Spring Bird Walk Along the Charles River in Waltham

Saturday, May 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Cosponsored by Waltham Land Trust, BBC & Menotomy Bird Club and led by Emily Szczypek, member of all three organizations.  Migration is taking place so we could see Baltimore Orioles, Warbling Vireos, Warblers, Tree and or Rough-winged Swallows, and Osprey, as well as our resident Great Blue Herons, Red-tailed Hawks, and various song birds. Bring binoculars. Families are encouraged to attend!

No dogs please. Dogs often scare away birds, so they are not allowed on this walk. We will cancel for rain, but the forecast looks good right now!
