We will start our October Big Day at Great Meadows in Concord (Monsen Rd). Please join us as we try to see as many species as we can that day.
At the refuge, we will walk about 3 miles on flat easy trails we will search for a variety of birds. Note that an entrance fee or pass is required.
After birding Great Meadows, we will rest a few minutes, have a snack, and be sure to drink something, and then proceed to a TBD second stop. This is optional for participants. Our hope is to add some species to our Big Day lists.
There are basic restrooms at the Great Meadows refuge.
End time is “when we’re done” but participants can of course leave early.
