Bird Hike in Middlesex Fells with The Great Malden Outdoors
Sunday, May 18 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Enjoy observing birds in the Middlesex Fells, a hidden gem of Malden. Please bring binoculars if you have them. Limited loaner binoculars will be available on a first come, first served basis. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather conditions, bringing a snack, water bottle, and bug spray for the hike. Expect to hike 2-3 miles on dirt and rocky trails for this moderate to strenuous trail. In the event of heavy rain, the event will be canceled. In advance of the event we recommend you download these free apps: eBird and Merlin Bird ID to your smartphone to help you document the birds you see and learn how to use these tools from a pro!
Meeting spot: Meet by the DCR gate #55 at the intersection of E Border Rd and Fellsway E in Malden.
Limited to 20 people.
