SUMMARY:Global Big Day Kickoff: Pine Hill Grasslands and Bolton Flats WMA
DESCRIPTION:We will visit Pine Hill Grasslands first (but meet at Bolton Flats for carpooling to Pine Hill)\, targeting grassland sparrows and warblers. We will walk at least 2.5 miles round trip but not all the way to the back of that reservation. Then off to the second stop\, Bolton Flats WMA off rt 117. There may be flooding here and very tall waterproof boots (aka Wellies\, rain boots) are likely needed. A scope would be useful\, especially at the second stop. Please email the leader (John Edmondson) if you plan to attend because there is limited parking at Pine Hill Grasslands. Early start for the big day.  In case or inclement weather forecast\, contact leader to find out about possible revised plan or cancelation.

SUMMARY:Bolton Flats Wildlife Management Area\, Lancaster
DESCRIPTION:This walk will focus on fall migrant land birds such as warblers and sparrows and any other birds that we may discover. The leveled dirt trail is about two miles long and is usually dry\, but there may be a few large puddles to negotiate necessitating waterproof boots. We may also explore the section on the opposite side of the road. Rain cancels walk.
