SUMMARY:Millennium Park
DESCRIPTION:Join the Brookline Bird Club in collaboration with Boston Nature Center to look for birds in a unique urban habitat that often draws numerous uncommon and rare birds.Target birds include bobolinks\, egrets\, flycatchers\, grosbeaks\, herons\, owls\, rails\, ravens\, sandpipers\, swallows & swifts\, vultures\, warblers\, and woodpeckers. Birders of all levels will enjoy this trip. The trails are flat and easy to walk. We may offer an optional 30-60 minute trip extension to adjacent locations such as West Roxbury High School Marsh and/or Brook Farm. \nThe walk is free but preregistration is required. Please preregister by emailing cgeorge@massaudubon.org and copying neil.calabro1@mac.com. Registration is limited to 30 people. Be sure to wear a hat and waterproof footwear and pack water. Insect repellent and sunblock are recommended.

SUMMARY:An Oasis for Birds at Belle Isle Marsh
DESCRIPTION:Join DCR park staff for a relaxed\, one-mile bird walk through flat\, easy terrain at this Massachusetts State Reservation and birding hot spot. In July\, At Belle Isle and at additional nearby locations—we’ll search for osprey\, flocks of egrets\, piping plover\, migrating shorebirds\, meadow and grassland nesting birds. Participants are responsible for their own transportation between locations (by car or bike). Binoculars are recommended\, and don’t forget to protect yourself from ticks and mosquitoes. Suitable for adults and children ages 8 and up (with an accompanying adult).
