DESCRIPTION:A small but mighty urban wild that offers a variety of habitat. Expect to see a variety of woodpeckers\, resident birds\, warblers\, and other migratory species\, as well as a surprise or two. The path is flat with a mix of gravel and dirt surfaces with newly added boardwalks on the wetter sections. Boots are strongly advised. A visit to nearby Peter’s Hill in the Arboretum is an option afterwards if others feel inclined.

DESCRIPTION:Join us to observe resident birds and spring migrants in a unique urban habitat that hosts many bird species. A BNC naturalist will help us find and identify birds through field marks\, sounds\, and behaviors. The walk is suitable for all levels of birders. The trails are flat and easy to walk. BNC offers bathrooms and a water bottle filling station\, as well as a large parking lot. SUMMARY:Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge\, North Gate Entrance
DESCRIPTION:Explore the bird diversity of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge.  We walk along White Pond Rd (Trail)\, searching for both resident and migrant songbirds and raptors. Some notable species previously observed at this location include Cooper’s Hawk\, Barred Owls\, and numerous species of warblers and other migratory songbirds. The habitat is mostly forested\, with some wetlands\, fields and scrubs along the way. The terrain is mostly flat and leveled\, mix if pavement and sand and gravel. DESCRIPTION:Join us to observe resident birds and spring migrants in a unique urban habitat that hosts many bird species and is an excellent location for finding rarities. A BNC naturalist will help us find and identify birds through field marks\, sounds\, and behaviors. The walk is suitable for all levels of birders. The trails are mostly flat and easy to walk\, however if we search for Bobolinks there is a hill that is about 0.5 miles. Millennium Park usually has water & portapotties near the athletic fields. Wear waterproof shoes and bring water\, hats/sunblock and insect repellent. \nThe walk is free but all participants must pre-register by emailing cgeorge@massaudubon.org and copying neil.calabro1@mac.com. DESCRIPTION:Join us to observe resident birds and spring migrants in a unique urban habitat that hosts many bird species. A BNC naturalist will help us find and identify birds through field marks\, sounds\, and behaviors. The walk is suitable for all levels of birders. The trails are flat and easy to walk. DESCRIPTION:We will walk the fire road to the dike separating Hatches Harbor from the airport which leads out to both the harbor and Race Point. Gulls\, terns\, waterfowl\, raptors\, and passerines are among expected species. The occasional rarity is always possible in this unique habitat. Low tide is 9:55 AM. There could be wet conditions on the way out to the lighthouse\, so you may want to have a pair of boots on hand. Cosponsored by Cape Cod Bird Club.
