SUMMARY:Arlington Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:In the fall water levels are lowered creating good conditions for ducks and shorebirds. We will also visit the adjacent Lexington community farm. Birds are found feasting on the remains of the crops planted there. We will walk about a mile on wide paths and some uneven ground (possibly muddy). Note that the reservoir area is a public park and people walk dogs here frequently. Cosponsored with Menotomy Bird Club.

DESCRIPTION:Join DCR park staff for a relaxed\, one-mile bird walk through flat\, easy terrain at this Massachusetts State Reservation and birding hot spot. At Belle Isle and at additional nearby locations— We’ll search for raptors\, native sparrows\, finches\, herons\, and egrets. Participants are responsible for their own transportation between locations (by car or bike). Binoculars are recommended\, and don’t forget to protect yourself from ticks and mosquitoes. Suitable for adults and children ages 8 and up (with an accompanying adult). SUMMARY:Westborough WMA in Two Parts
DESCRIPTION:Part 1: 7:30 – 10:15 am / Part 2: 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.  We will hike at a slow pace through mild to moderate trails in search of sparrows and other migrants. For the first part we will hike the Eastern trails between Lake Chauncy and Little Chauncy(about 3 miles). Then we will again meet at the meeting location. From there we will go over to the Wildlife HQs and hike the Western trails(about 2 miles). Join for either or both parts.

SUMMARY:Belle Isle Marsh Marine Ecology Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us to look for birds in a unique urban habitat that often draws numerous uncommon and rare birds.Target species include blackbirds\, brant\, dunlin\, eagles\, egrets\, falcons\, hawks\, herons\, kinglets\, loons\, mergansers\, owls\, oystercatchers\, plovers\, ravens and crows\, sandpipers\, sapsuckers\, scaup\, scoters\, sparrows & juncos\, terns\, and yellowlegs. Birders of all levels will enjoy this walk The trails are flat and easy to walk. We may offer optional 30-60 minute trip extensions to nearby locations such as Lewis Lake and/or Short Beach. \nThe walk is free but preregistration is required. Please preregister by emailing neil.calabro1@mac.com. Registration is limited to 15 people. Be sure to wear a hat and waterproof footwear and pack water. A jacket and gloves are recommended.
